Long Exposure Night Tour in Melbourne 

Level - Beginner

Date to be announced.

Small group size

3 hours duration

Learn to take long exposure photos and discover your creative side. Come away with some great photos that include:

  • Car/train light trails
  • Sunset*
  • Smooth water
  • Cloud movement*
  • Reflections
  • Light Starbursts
  • DSLR Selfies
  • Something special

You will need the following:

  • DLSR Camera that can be used on manual mode and preferably has a bulb mode option
  • Tripod
  • Spare battery
  • Always bring a spare memory card
  • A wide angle lens, such as a 16 to 35mm.  If you don't have a wide angle lens, bring the widest lens you have
  • Torch or Headlight

No prior experience or knowledge is needed.  If you have the manual for your camera please bring that along if you are unsure how to adjust your camera's settings.

* The weather doesn't always place nice, these options will be available if the weather allows.

Astrophotography Workshop 

Level - Beginner

Date to be announced.

Small group size

4 hours duration

Learn to take photos of the Milky Way and the night sky. You will learn to take the following:

  • Milky Way*
  • Star Trails
  • Night Sky Panoramas
  • Short Time Lapse
  • Milky Way selfies*
  • Foreground subject with blurred stars
  • Light Painting
  • Shooting Star/Meteor Shower settings**
  • Something special

You will need the following:

  • DLSR Camera that can be used on manual mode and preferably has a bulb mode option
  • Tripod
  • Spare battery
  • Always bring a spare memory card
  • A wide angle lens, such as a 16 to 35mm.  If you don't have a wide angle lens, bring the widest lens you have
  • Intervalometer for star trails and time lapse - If you don't have one, we can adapt to suit
  • Remote Shutter Release - if you have one
  • Torch or Headlight - preferably with the option to have a red light

No prior experience or knowledge is needed.  If you have the manual for your camera please bring that along if you are unsure how to adjust the settings on your camera.

* The weather doesn't always place nice, these options will be available if the weather allows.
** I would love to be able to guarantee you will see a shooting star or a meteor shower, and we often do get photos of shooting stars in our night sky photos.  You will learn the settings for meteors/shooting stars, but we unfortunately can't guarantee you will see one.

Street Tour in Melbourne 

Level - Beginner

Small group size

Learn to use your camera by taking photos of Melbourne's amazing street art, see a different side to Melbourne and do some street photography.  

You will see:

  • Street art or Grafitti
  • Amazing Architecture
  • Trams
  • Iconic streets
  • People
  • National Gallery of Victoria's roof
  • and everything in between

You will need the following:

  • Camera
  • Spare battery
  • Always bring a spare memory card
  • Any lens between 16mm and 200mm, or any lens(es) you have
  • Raincoat in case of rain - It is Melbourne after all.

No prior experience or knowledge is needed.  If you have the manual for your camera please bring that along if you are unsure how to adjust the settings on your camera.

Melbourne Botanic Gardens

Level - Beginner

Come on a walk through the beautiful Melbourne Botanic gardens while learning about nature photography.  

You will see:

  • Small Lakes
  • Birds
  • Exotic trees and plants
  • Shrine of Rememberance
  • Views towards Melbourne
  • A local Skate Park
  • and everything in between

You will need the following:

  • Camera
  • Spare battery
  • Always bring a spare memory card
  • Any lens between 16mm and 200mm, or any lens(es) you have.  A macro lens could be ideal for this tour
  • Raincoat in case of rain - It is Melbourne after all.
