Our ladies only camping weekend trips for photography enthusiasts are designed for ladies to get out in the great outdoors with a group of like minded people and spend some time in the bush learning about photography while enjoying adventures and activities and making new friends, all in the safety of a group.

There is no photography experience needed to join one of our weekends away, whether you are a beginner or an experienced photographer come along and meet new people and see some amazing places.  You can bring as much or as little camera gear as you have, even if you only have a phone, if it can take photos, you're good to go.

The weekends include a number of activities, depending on location and time of year, but we try to always include:

• beautiful landscapes and views
• campfire cooking
• star gazing
• hiking
• sunsets and sunrises
• and more

Our weekends are photography based, so you will have the opportunity to learn the basics about photography.  At the end of the weekend you will feel more confident in using your camera and you will learn how to take some more interesting or specialised photos.

Photography over the weekend can include any of the following, depending on location:

• long exposure
• sun stars or star burst
• HDR or high dynamic range for high contrast scenes
• focus stacking
• Star trails
• time lapse
• Composition
• birds and wildlife
• flowers, insects and macro
• landscape, nightscape or seascapes
• and some fun photography

There are some things you will need to bring along, but if you really want to join us and don't have everything on the list, let us know when you book what you need and we will make sure you are covered.

Why ladies only?  During my years as a photographer and meeting a number of other female photographers, the common theme seemed to be we don't feel safe being out in the country side on our own, especially at night for night photography.  I think that's a real shame that one half of our population has to miss out on adventures and doing what they love because of safety concerns.  So out of that our ladies only camping weekends was developed.  To give us girls the opportunity to experience some of these adventures while feeling safe in a group environment.
